Glitter Oxide Blending + Heffy Doodle Friends Hop!

Hello everyone, I am so excited to be participating in the Heffy Doodle Friends Blog Hop! Today I am featuring some of Heffy Doodle’s newest stamps, stencils and dies and creating a glittery superhero card!

I couldn’t wait to use the adorable superheroes from Heffy Doodle’s Superdudes stamp set, which paired perfectly with the Zapp Attack stencil and the Super word die.

My idea was to use the stencil with Distress Oxide inks, blending them in a rainbow of colors. After inking the stencil (and before removing it from the paper), I applied a layer of Transparent Gloss paste (mixed with Unicorn Dust glitter) over the blended background, creating a DIY glitter paste. Once dry, I ended up with a rainbow of glittery goodness to use as a background for my superheroes.

The sentiments are a combination of greetings from the Superdudes and Bots of Love stamp sets, and the Super word die. I finished off the card with confetti stars, which may be subtle, but really set off the glittery effects of the background.
