Neat & Tangled Reveal Day #1

Welcome to the first day of a week long inspiration with the Neat & Tangled January release! We have lots of fabulous products being showcased in this release, so you’ll want to make sure you stop back over the next few days so that you don’t miss a thing!

Today we are revealing the beautiful Wholehearted die set and the adorable Lumberjack Love stamp set. I’ve chosen to work with the Wholehearted die to create this classy looking card that could be used for a wide variety of occasions!

I started this card off by creating a watercolor background using Finetec gold watercolors; I used a wide, flat brush to create a dry brush effect and I just love the streaky look!

Once my watercoloring was dry, I die cut the panel twice; once from a Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangle die, and the a second time from the Wholehearted die. The Wholehearted die set is designed by my sweet friend Miriam Pratner… I just adore her style, plus she is an absolute doll to work with!

After I had die cut everything, I folded all the half-cut hearts over and adhered them down using foam dots; this creates a lot of dimension to the design, but you could also hold them down with regular adhesive if you prefer.

Because I wanted these gorgeous hearts to stand out, I kept the design rather simple. I layered my heart panel onto a black A2 card base and stamped a sentiment from the Kindness Matters stamp set (also by Neat & Tangled). A few sequins from the Full of Love mix and some Wink of Stella glitter on the white portions of all the hearts, finished off the card perfectly!
