Ink Blending + Layering Stencils + Simon’s Cheer & Joy Blog Hop!
Hello friends! I am so excited to be bringing you inspiration featuring the new Simon Says Stamp Cheer and Joy collection for their release blog hop!
If you have already been hopping along with us, you should have arrived from my sweet friend, Cathy Zielske’s blog!
For my card in today’s hop, I used the Winter Floral Layering stencil set that I designed for this release. This set is a series of four different stencils each blended with a different color of Distress Oxide ink. I used Festive Berries, Evergreen Bough, Peeled Paint… and then the “berries” layer was applied with some Metallix gold paste.
After blending the background, I mounted the panel onto a Desert Storm card base. The gold foiled greeting on the card is the new Merry Frame die, which I paired with a sentiment from the Holiday Greetings Mix 1 set.
