No Line Watercolor Background + Blog Hop
Hello friends! I’m very excited to be bringing you more inspiration featuring the new Believe in You collection from Simon Says Stamp (did you see the post I shared yesterday?)! Today’s video showcases the new Stripe Jumble background, along with the Greetings Mix 1 stamp set.
This post is also part of the Simon Says Stamp Believe in You release blog hop. If you have already been hopping along, you should have arrived from my friend, Cathy Zielske’s blog! All the hop details are at the bottom of this post.
I loved the organic, layered lines in this new Stripe Jumble background. When I saw the stamp, I thought it would look gorgeous watercolored with gold metallics and a rainbow of bright colors… and I love the result! To color the background, I started by stamping the Stripe Jumble with a light colored ink and then used Finetec gold watercolors and a mix of Prima and Daniel Smith watercolors to do the painting.
The background on this card is so detailed, I really wanted to keep the design very simple. So to finish off I added a sentiment from the Greetings Mix 1 set and a few gold sequins.
I love the simplicity of this card and I hope it inspires you to create with the new Simon Says Stamp Believe in You collection! Keep on reading for the details on the blog hop. Thanks for visiting me today!

Kudos to you for all the time that must have taken! If you would have suggested it to me I’d have said “Ain’t nobody got time for that!” but I guess I’d be wrong ;-)
Wow! Gorgeous background with gold embossing! Love the color combination of your card! Thanks for the inspiration!
This is stunning. Thanks for opening my eyes to Finetec watercolors too… I have a feeling those are going on my Christmas list!
This is one of those projects I would do when I need to immerse myself in a stress releasing situation. Its
hard to focus on problems and worries when you do something like this. I’d rather focus on coloring any day.
Thanks for sharing it!!!
