Foiling with Dies + Simon’s DieCember® Blog Hop!
Hello crafty friends! Welcome to my stop in the Simon Says Stamp DieCember® release blog hop! Today I am featuring many of the newest DieCember® dies and a fun foiling technique using hot foiling products from Couture Creations.
If you have already been hopping along with us, you should have arrived from the uber-talented, Laura Bassen’s blog. You can find the next stop in the hop down at the bottom of this post, and the full hop list at the Simon blog.
Foiling with dies is so easy, and tons of fun! It’s a die technique that I’ve always enjoyed creating with; you can see more hot foil inspiration here.
The first card I made features the lovely, Skating Girl die. I foiled her with a matte silver, and decorated the card with snowflakes from Simon’s Stitched Flakes die set. The sentiment is from the Love You CZ Design die set, and I layered the new Holiday Knit Background behind this classy scene for a bit of texture.
The second card features the gorgeous, Tree Frame die. This one also features matte silver foil; this time on a Sea Glass cardstock square, for that soft and subtle feel.
For the greeting, I die cut silver letters with the new Rounded Alphabet set; the complementing sentiment is heat embossed using the Tiny Words Christmas stamp set. I further embellished the card with Stitched Flakes glitter die cuts, and silver jewels. The sparkly finish of this card makes it so delicate and elegant!
I hope these cards have inspired you to create with the beautiful DieCember® collection from Simon Says Stamp! Be sure to continue hopping along with us for even more festive inspiration!
