Foiled Accents on Stamped Images + Simon Release Blog Hop
Hi everyone! Welcome to my stop in the Simon Says Stamp Best Days release blog hop! I am so excited to be sharing some projects I made with the new stamps, dies and more! Simon releases are always so much fun, as they are each filled with a great assortment of beautiful products that are a joy to create with. I had a blast working on my cards using the release, and I hope you have as much fun seeing them as I did creating!
If you’ve already been hopping along with us, you should have arrived from the uber-talented (or should I say Amazeballs?!) Cathy Zielske! Did you know that Cathy designed the new Emphatic stamp set (among others in the Best Days release)?
The Bold Flowers set is really great for some fun stamping techniques because of the solid images. But I had an idea to take the images and use a Deco Foil adhesive pen to create foiled accents on the images. I thought this would a fun way to add some interest and shine to the card.
There is also a new stencil as part of this Best Days release, which is the Line Dance stencil. It’s gorgeous and modern in style; I love it! I needed some texture behind my florals, so I dry embossed it into the paper for that perfect effect.
You can see how I made this entire card from start to finish if you watch the video above!
I hope you’ll join in the fun of the release blog hop, and that your visit to my blog inspired you to create with this awesome Best Days release! Thanks for visiting with me today; I’ll be back again soon with more inspiration for you!
