Watercoloring + 3 Ideas Cards + Pretty Pink Posh 4th Birthday Hop!
Hello everyone and Happy Friday! I am super excited to be helping my friend Paulina celebrate her wonderful company, Pretty Pink Posh’s 4th birthday!!! Pretty Pink Posh is close to my heart, as I spent quite a bit of time on their Design Team; loved every minute of it and Paulina is so kind, supportive and sweet. One day I hope to meet her in person! WOOHOO! Happy Birthday Pretty Pink Posh!
Today I have three cards to share with you as part of this awesome blog hop! Did you know that the blog hop has been happening since Wednesday? That’s right, it is a three day hop! Stop by the Pretty Pink Posh blog to recap the things you may have missed this week!
BIRTHDAY FRIENDS 2 WAYS
All of the images are colored with Zig markers and Arteza pens; I went with simple shading to coordinate with the style of the kids in the Birthday Friends stamp set, along with the entire card feel.
One evening I was doing some crafting just for fun and had the idea to take the Pretty Petunias stamp set (also new from Pretty Pink Posh) and create a tone-on-tone effect. I stamped the images in coordinating ink colors that matched the watercolors I would be using. After stamping, I took the Prima Watercolor Confections paints and loosely colored the florals in.
After I colored my entire panel of florals, I decided to turn the piece into a card. I layered on some silver Thank You die cuts, as well as some patterned paper from the Pinkfresh Live More collection. Again, I used that same technique of adding Glossy Accents into the center of my sequins, as that creates some stunning droplet-like effects when dry!
You may also notice that pretty silver paint splattered onto the background; this was done with some Finetec watercolors.
This card took quite a bit of time to stamp and color, but I loved how it turned out; definitely worth the effort!! If you are looking for the supplies used to make this card, I have them all listed below!
