I’m stopping by today with a quick card I wanted to share with you that features one of the newest Suzy’s Watercolor Cards in Simon’s Encouraging Word’s release – and also one of the new stencils!

I was just relaxing one evening and doing some just-for-fun coloring of this cute pineapple. These watercolor cards make it really easy to break out some supplies and just spend time coloring. I used my Zig Clean Color Felt brush markers to color in the pineapple and used them as a watercolor medium. The brush I used to blend the markers was the Simon Says Stamp medium watercolor brush.

This pineapple from the Suzy Watercolor cards could have been used as-is. But I love being able to cut them out and use them on a card; isn’t it fun to stretch your supplies??

To finish off this card, I used the new Carolyn stencil and blended on some Melon ink onto a melon-y colored card based (yes I made up “melon-y” LOL!). I also stamped a sentiment from Simon’s Sea You Soon stamp set in Melon and Dark Chocolate inks. To embellish the card, I sprinkled a few Moonshine sequins around the pineapple.

I really enjoyed making this card by simply taking the time to relax with the watercolor process and then later turn it into a card. These watercolor cards make it really easy to do so!
