Stamp Layering + Easy Mail Card Set + Hop | Nina-Marie Design

Happy Friday everyone! Today I am excited to be participating in the Simon Says Stamp New Beginnings Release Blog Hop!

If you have already been hopping along with us, you should have arrived from the talented Heather Ruwe’s blog. If you are just joining in, you can find all the hop participants down at the bottom of this post.

For my project today, I created a set of three matching cards and envelopes. These are ALMOST one layer cards, which makes them easy to mail! The stamp set I used for the cards is the Friends for Life set.

I designed this stamp set to be an artistic rendition of forget me not flowers. You may recognize these florals from a promotional graphic I did a few months back for Forget Me Not Day. Many of you asked if there was a stamp set of those flowers… well, now there is! :)

This set is designed to for easy stamp layering; so even if you have never tried stamp layering before, you will have no problems lining the images up for this one! For perfect alignment, make sure that you use the center area of each flower as the guide. And for those of you that prefer to color, there are outlines too!

For the stamping, I used a few inks from both Simon and Altenew; Lavender, Deep Iris, Fern, Jellybean, Teeny Bikini, Cotton Candy, Duckling, Catkin, Intense Black and Mint. I stamped both the A2 card base and envelope the exact same way. Before stamping the envelope, I made sure to mask off part I did not want stamped on; I only wanted the flowers on the flap.

The sentiments on my cards are from the Handlettered Encouragement set, which was designed by Kristina Werner (I really like the way her handwriting looks). It was heat embossed with Hero Arts Platinum embossing powder. This color of embossing powder is a great alternative when you don’t want to use gold or silver.
