Partial Shaped Shaker + Simon’s DieCember Blog Hop

Hi everyone! Today I am participating in a special blog hop celebrating Simon Says Stamp’s DieCember™ release!

If you have already been hopping along with us, you should have arrived here from the amazing Heather Hoffman’s blog; but if you are just joining in, WELCOME! You can find the entire hop list at the bottom of this post.

I love creating shaker cards and I thought it would be fun to use the new Fold Over Tree die and create a different type of shaker!

This one is only a partial shaker because the tree only partially die cuts into the cardstock; it also does not shake much (on purpose), as I wanted to have lots of sequins sandwiched in there to create a colorful background inside the shaker window.

I also wanted to add some special touches to this card by die cutting the Corbel Border die into the card base… the result is a delicate, see-through design that adds an elegant touch to the card. I had so much fun making these cards, I ended up doing a set of 4!

To see how easy these cards were to make (and how fun!), be sure to check out the video below! If you enjoy, please give it a thumbs up and subscribe to my channel for more weekly inspiration.

As part of the Simon DieCember release hop, Simon is allowing all of the designers in the hop to giveaway a $25 gift certificate to Simon Says Stamp! So make sure to leave a comment below and hop on over to the other designers blogs for more chances to win! Your next stop is the talented Jessica Frost-Ballas’s blog!
