Ombre Watercolor Tags with Frosted Edges

Hello everyone! Happy Thanksgiving!!!  I hope your day is filled with family, friends, love and laughter, as you celebrate and give thanks for all the blessings in your life. Today I am sharing a video that is part of the 25 Days of Christmas Tags event, hosted by Tracey McNeely!

Each day since November 1st, Tracey has teamed up with different companies and individuals to bring creative inspiration to YOU in the form of holiday gift tags! The really fun thing is that Tracey also encourages you to join in the fun too by submitting your own tag designs inspired by a specific day and tag during the 25 Days of Christmas Tags. Since today is Pretty Pink Posh’s day on Tracey’s blog, I am honored to be taking part and sharing inspiration using some of my current favorite Pretty Pink Posh products!

I love ombré and wanted to incorporate that into these tags by doing some Distress Ink watercoloring. I watercolored onto tags that I cut from the Stitched Essentials die set (from Pretty Pink Posh). I used sentiments from the Holiday Greetings stamp set (not available for individual purchase), and the cardinal image came from the Christmas Friends stamp set.

The kissing cardinals are super cute aren’t they???

These tags are very simple to recreate, and in the video below, I’ll be sharing the details on how I did it, as well as how I created the beautiful frosted edging on the tags! I hope you’ll be checking it out!
