Neat & Tangled Release Week: Day 2

Hi friends! Welcome back to day two of the Neat & Tangled October Release Week!

There are some fabulous new products coming out in this month’s release, and today is no exception! I love the adorable bear from the Beary Merry stamp set, and I created a fairly clean and simple card (clean and simple for me that is!) with a festive, holiday feel!

The bear and packages are colored with Copics and after coloring them, I die cut everything with the coordinating Beary Merry dies. The really cool feature of the coordinating dies, is that the bear’s arms are partially cut out so that you can slip one of the smaller images from the stamp set into the bear’s arms! How fun is that??

I mounted the images on a white card panel that I also stamped a sentiment and some starbursts onto. The sentiments are stamped with Slate and Schoolhouse Red inks from Simon Says Stamp, as well as some Delicata Golden Glitz pigment ink; I also used the Golden Glitz ink to stamp the starbursts.

To embellish the card, I added Glossy Accents to the ribbons of the packages, and a few dots of the Tonic Studios’ Nuvo Crystal Drops in the color Ivory Seashell. Everything was mounted onto a Dark Chocolate cardstock card base and I edged the white panel with some gold scallops (using some Simon Says Stamp Sunshine glimmer cardstock and Neat & Tangled’s Scalloped dies).
