Hello friends! Welcome to my stop in the Sunny Studio Stamps Birthday celebration blog hop!
Today is a very special day because Sunny Studio Stamps is celebrating it’s VERY FIRST BIRTHDAY!!! How cool is that??? I remember when my friend Mendi Yoshikawa first started her amazing little company just a short while ago… and look how far she has come! I’ve loved being able to support her achievements in creating her very own, super happy stamp shop.
So today, in celebration of Sunny Studio’s first birthday, there is a special blog hop where 15 talented designers are sharing inspiration using Sunny Studio stamps and dies… if you’ve already been hopping along, you should have arrived from the fabulous Suzy Plantamura! If you are just joining in, I’ll have the complete hop list at the end of this post.
For my cards today (yes, I have two to share!), I will be using one of the newest Sunny Studio stamp sets, Autumn Splendor. I love the layering images in this set and how you can create some stunning shaded effects with just two colors of ink! This is a great layering set to have if you do not have lots of ink colors to choose from, or want something a bit on the simpler side. I used the images to create two different styles of cards; one more artistic and freeform, the other a more traditional example of stamp layering.

Watercolor card with Distress Inks: Carved Pumpkin, Wild Honey, Seedless Preserves, Fired Brick, Gathered Twigs, Brushed Corduroy, Peeled Paint, Shabby Shutters
Stamped card with dye inks: Cup O’ Joe, Passion Flower, Deep Iris, Pale Tomato, Schoolhouse Red, Duckling, Sunshine, Soft Apricot, Orange Soda, Willow, Catkin, Olive Green, Moss
