Layered Scene Card

Hi everyone, thanks so much for stopping by today! I have a fun layered scene card to share with you, featuring the adorable Bunny Hop stamp set from Newton’s Nook Designs!

With Easter right around the corner, I felt this is the perfect time to break out my Bunny Hop set. And one of the things that I love about the images in this set is that you could actually use the stamps year round… I’m always looking for great ways to stretch my supplies! :)

I started off my card by stamping all the images onto white cardstock using the Simon Says Stamp Intense Black ink. I love using this for my Copic coloring because the ink is specialized for Copics… however, as a side note, its also perfect for watercoloring too! Here’s a video tutorial showing how I used the Intense Black ink for watercoloring.

For my coloring, I used the following markers:

  • Bunny: C00, C1, C3, RV000, R81
  • Flower Pot: E31, E33, E35, E47, E57
  • Grass: YG03, YG21, G07, G28 (the grass die cut is from the My Favorite Things Grassy Hills borders)
  • Flowers: Y11, Y21, RV91, RV63, V15
  • Eggs: G000, YG41, BG34, RV000, R81, Y11, Y21, RV63, V15

Once I had everything colored, I layered my elements onto a white linen cardstock circle; I had added some Tumbled Glass distress ink onto the circle to hint at a bit of sky.

My card base is created from white cardstock and I stamped the new Simon Says Stamp Peeps Background onto it using Frosty Pink Altenew dye ink. I also added some stitching detail to the edges of the card using My Favorite Things Basic Stitch Lines border dies.

I layered my scene and some pattern paper banners onto the card base and scattered a bunch of sequins from Pretty Pink Posh all around to add some additional color.

Finishing touches are always important to me because I feel that they really add that little “wow” factor to the card. So I added a bit of Wink of Stella glitter to the eggs and flowers, as well as some Glossy Accents over top the eggs.
