Newton’s Nook Reveal Day #1 – Jolly Tags

Hello everyone and welcome to day #1 of the Newton’s Nook November release! Today we are showcasing the adorable Jolly Tags stamp and die set.

 

 

This stamp and die set is perfect for creating really cute tags for all your holiday gifts this year; I’ve used two of the stamps in my project today, the snowman and the penguin.

 

 

For these tags, I wanted to do both some distress inking and Copic coloring for my tags, and I achieved this by doing some two-step stamping and a bit of fussy cutting.

I love the look of distress inked skies, and I used Tumbled Glass, Evergreen Bough and Chipped Sapphire to make a wintry sky behind my critters.

 

 

Lately, I’ve also loved the look I get when I “layer” my tags together with a coordinating colored tag behind the main tag. It adds some extra pops of color, and really dresses up the design!
