Rainy Day Miss You

Hi Everyone! I am so glad you’ve stopped by today, as I have a fun, shaped card to share with you, featuring stamps and dies from Mama Elephant!

Rainy Day Miss You_2

I absolutely adore the Three Amigos stamp set, which was released not too long ago by Mama Elephant; the sentiments that can be placed into the signs held by the little critters are absolutely adorable.  For my card, I thought it would be fun to create a rainy-day scene, paired with an “I miss you” sentiment.

I stamped the cat and sentiment from Three Amigos onto some white cardstock, along with the umbrella from Mama Elephant’s Chance of Rain stamp set. I then colored the images with my Copics, and fussy cut everything out.

The cloud border is die cut using the Landscape Trio die set, and I stamped the raindrops from Chance of Rain randomly on the front and inside of the card. They are colored with Copics, and I applied a coating of Glossy Accents overtop for dimension.

To create my scene, I die cut the ground using the same Landscape Trio dies; to add color and detail, I used distress ink for the sky and Copics for the ground.  I then attached all of my scene elements to the card. For some finishing touches, some more Glossy Accents was added to different parts of the scene.

I hope this card has inspired you to create some fun, die cut edges on some of your own cards… thank you for stopping by today!
