A Critter Birthday Party

Critter Birthday Party_2

Hello, I am so happy you’ve stopped by today! I was playing around with some of my Lawn Fawn stamp sets, and came up with a birthday card that I created using multiple sets from Lawn Fawn’s collection… as well as using some of the stamps in unique ways!

I knew I wanted to create a little scene, so I began by cutting a cardstock panel that was sized to 4″ by 5″. I stamped the banners (from the Blue Skies set), the fawn (from the Into the Woods set), the bird  and stars (from the Hello Sunshine set), and the cupcake (from the Beep Boop Birthday set), all onto the panel with Memento ink. I also stamped my sentiment onto the panel as well, using some pink pigment ink.

On a separate piece of cardstock, I stamped the fawn, the banner and the bird with Memento ink, and colored them with Copic markers; the banner flags I turned upside-down and created party hats from! I love the result, don’t you? I also stamped the balloon with green pigment ink and added some shading with my Copic markers. I then fussy cut all the images out, and adhered them onto the panel, after I colored all the rest of the images already stamped in my scene.

With a white paint pen I added some white details, and also used some Wink of Stella glitter to add a bit of sparkle to the design. My panel was then layered onto some Simon Says Stamp Cotton Candy cardstock, as well as some Mint cardstock clear embossed with the Diagonal Stripes background cling stamp (both also from Simon Says Stamp).

Finally, with sequins from Pretty Pink Posh, I created some confetti, as well as applying Glossy Accents over the balloon and eyes of the critters.

And that finishes off my card! I love the way it turned out, and how festive the scene is for my little critters! :)  Thanks so much for stopping by, happy creating!

P.S…. there is still time to enter the giveaway for the Lia Stampz blog hop! Be sure to stop over at my post for the hop and check out the details, as well as see the list of all the talented designers participating in the hop! You have until June 2nd to leave a comment for a chance to win!

Challenges

This card is submitted into the Lawnscaping challenge #106 “Try a New Technique“, and my “new” technique is using an image in my stamp collection and turning it into something else completely… in this case, the banner flags are turned into party hats! :)

I’ve also submitted this card into the Simon Says Stamp Flickr challenge #19 “Create Your Own Background”, and the Color Throwdown challenge #344.
