Lia Stampz May Blog Hop!

Sending Lots of Love_3

Hello! I am so happy you have stopped by for the Lia Stampz May blog hop!

Today we are celebrating the release of the new flower digi stamps, which are available for purchase over at the Lia Stampz shop, and I have a few cards to share with you that I created using the new digis being released this month.

Because they are my favorite flower, my first card features the three beautiful daffodil digis, which I have clustered together, printed out, and colored with Copic markers. I used stamps from the Simon Says Stamp Sending Happy Thoughts set for my sentiment, and added some pink and cream dot details with Viva Paint Pens and Copics.

The daffodil panel is layered onto a black card base and a yellow ribbon is tied around the card as well. For a final finishing touch, a bit of Wink of Stella glitter is added to the daffodils.

For my second card, I used the Lily of the Valley stamp to create a sweet card for mom. Even though Mother’s Day has past, this card could be used for any type of reason for sending a card to your mom!

I colored the flower with Copic markers and fussy cut it out. I created the background panel using Simon Says Stamp Mint cardstock, a lattice stencil and Cracked Pistachio distress ink. I also flicked on some ink splatters using white paint and gold Heidi Swapp color shine.

The ‘mother’ die cut is created inside my Silhouette Studio program using the font Sweet Tea by Sweet Elsie, and is cut out four times from white cardstock. I layered the four die cuts together and covered the top layer with Glossy Accents.

I put the card together and added a scattering of pearls and some ribbon and twine to finish off the design.  I love how this one has such a feminine look about it, perfect for a card for mom!

For my final card I used the Peonies digi stamp, and created a scene by copying and pasting it a few times around the drawing area of my computer design program.

I printed my scene out and colored it completely with Copic markers. I also created the background of my scene with Copics, by using a stippling technique and multiple shades of pink, yellow and green.

Because I had so much detail on this card, I wanted the focus to be on the artwork, so I went for a clean and simple layout. I scored a double frame around the edges and did some paper piercing inside the frame as well. I layered the panel onto some scalloped cardstock and my vellum card base, before finally adding some Wink of Stella glitter and Glossy Accents to parts of the image.

I hope you’ve enjoyed my inspiration for this new stamp release for Lia Stampz! Be sure to continue along on the hop, as all my fellow design teammates each have some amazing creations to share as well!

Happy Hopping! :)
