Miss You

Miss You_3

Hello, I am so happy you’ve stopped by!

I just totally love this cute little girl dressed up in her raincoat and boots, standing in a puddle… isn’t she just darling?! I thought I would make an “I miss you” card, since the girl looks a little sad in this image.

I started off by printing the image, which is a digi stamp from Chi Chi Memories, onto some white cardstock. I colored her in with Copic markers, and then fussy cut her out. I added some additional details to her, by applying Wink of Stella glitter to her coat and boots, and some Glossy Accents to her eyes, the raindrops and the puddle below. Unfortunately, some of the pink from the boots ran a bit when I applied the Glossy Accents… however, in some ways I think it was a good boo-boo… puddles reflect, and the pink bleeding looks a bit like reflections in the puddle! :)

I die cut the clouds and raindrops from some cardstock using the Lawn Fawn Spring Showers die set; the raindrops were inked with Mermaid Lagoon distress ink and covered with translucent embossing paste before being adhered to my white card panel. The sentiment is from the Simon Says Stamp Soaring for You set and stamped with black ink.

The white card panel has a double frame scored around the edges and I also did some paper piercing; I then adhered the panel to a Cotton Candy scalloped panel and attached my little girl to the panel as well.

My card base is made from vellum… I love the soft translucent feel of it, don’t you!? I inked it with the Mermaid Lagoon distress ink and the Simon Says Stamp Tiny Spaced Hearts stencil. I quickly dried it with my heat gun and then attached my panels to the card base.

I hope you have enjoyed this as much as I did making it, and thanks so very much for stopping by!
