Champagne Congrats

Champange Congrats_3

Hello! So glad you’ve stopped by today!

I am back to share a clean and simple wedding congratulations card, featuring a beautiful color combo that was inspired by the current Stampin’ Royalty Picture Inspiration challenge. For this card, I thought it might be fun to create some champagne glasses as the main focal image for my design.

Looking through my stamp stash, I found some glasses that are part of the Sweet Stamp Shop Happy Hour stamp set. I stamped them in some gray ink, and watercolored them with some gray Derwent pencils and some Heidi Swapp gold color shine. I love how the color shine looks for the champagne! Its hard to see in the pictures, but the champagne sparkles beautifully in real life.

Once my glasses were dry, I fussy cut them out and covered them in Glossy Accents; I also added some white details to the glasses once the Glossy Accents were dry, using a white paint pen.

My card base is created from white cardstock and inked with some Delicata Golden Glitz ink over a Heidi Swapp stencil.

I die cut my white panel using the Spellbinders Tranquil Moments die set, and layered a piece of vellum behind it to soften the pattern on the card base, before adhering it to the card with foam tape.

I also die cut the word “congrats” four times from black cardstock, using the Simon Says Stamp Cake & Congrats die set. The die cut is then adhered to my white die cut panel, along with the champagne glasses.

For a subtle embellishment, I scattered some small white pearls around the design, and also tied a bow from some turquoise ribbon and adhered it to my champagne glasses.

And that finishes off my card… Clean and simple, with a soft and elegant feel. I really like how it turned out and I hope you enjoyed too! Thanks so much for stopping by!

Challenges

This card is submitted into the Stampin’ Royalty challenge #273 “Picture Inspiration”, the CASology challenge #142 “Sweet” (because what could be sweeter than a wedding!?) and the Simon Says Stamp “In the Middle” Monday challenge, as everything in my card is centered in the middle.

Its really beautiful and elegant! I love the color combo. The die is really fantastic – never would have thought that a die like that can be used for a modernish-classic card (does that make sense!?) Love it!
