Birthday Anya Shaker Card

Birthday Ana_1a

Hello and Happy Wednesday!

I have been on a bit of a shaker card kick lately, and today I am back to share another shaker card, this one a birthday theme!

For the focal point of my card, I chose to work with the Valentine Anya digi stamp, because I really loved this image. I printed her out and colored her with Derwent pencils, adding some details using a white paint pen, and Glossy Accents. Once little Anya was dry, I fussy cut her out and set her aside while I worked on the shaker element of my card.

I first created the background of my shaker using a dot stencil and three Tim Holtz distress inks; Worn Lipstick, Wild Honey and Peacock Feathers. I then covered each dot with some Wink of Stella clear glitter.

My shaker material is made from some circles and hearts that I punched from Audrey Blue, Cotton Candy, pale yellow and white cardstocks. I also punched some hearts from silver glitter paper as well. All of my shaker material was placed into the middle of my background panel and my card base was attached over top.

The card base is made from some Simon Says Stamp Cotton Candy cardstock, and the window is die cut using the Spellbinders Pierced Rectangles dies. I inked the inner portion of the window frame with Worn Lipstick ink, applied a bit of Wink of Stella and scored around the edges of the inked area. I layered some scalloped strips behind the window as well, for a more feminine touch.

Once my shaker element was put together, I adhered Ana to the middle of the card, and placed a banner made from some Simon Says Stamp Audrey Blue cardstock and the Altenew Birthday Greetings stamp set.

I love the way the shaker elements look below Anya and the banner when the pieces aren’t being shaked… almost looks like a multicolored paper strip!  :)

I hope you’ve enjoyed and thanks so much for stopping by today! Happy Creating!
