You Did It!

You Did It_2

Happy Sunday!

I don’t know about you, but I really love the fun superhero stamps from Mama Elephant…. I have enjoyed seeing all of the wonderful projects and cards created by so many talented crafters! Since I do not have any of my own yet, I thought it might be fun to create a superhero out of a stamp set I already have!

For my idea, I chose to work with the little fox from the Lawn Fawn Into the Woods stamp set, and I stamped it onto some watercolor paper with StazOn ink. I then took a waterproof multiliner and drew a mask and cape onto the little cutie to turn it into a fun “superfox”! :)

Using my Derwent watercolor pencils, I colored the fox in, and fussy cut the critter out. I also added Wink of Stella glitter to its cape and mask, and some Glossy Accents to the eyes and nose. I then set the fox aside to dry while I worked on the rest of my card.

I cut a 5 1/4″ by 4″ panel from white cardstock and with the Wendy Vecchi translucent embossing paste, I applied stars to the panel using the Memory Box Starry Night stencil. Once the embossing paste was dry, I cut some masks and inked the unmasked areas with Wild Honey and Worn Lipstick distress ink. The panel was then run through my Big Shot along with an inset from the Spellbinders Pierced Rectangles die set, and layered onto a piece of Simon Says Stamp Doll Pink cardstock.

For the sentiment, I die cut the word “congrats” from some Doll Pink cardstock three times, using the Simon Says Stamp Cake and Congrats die set. I also cut another “congrats” from some black cardstock as well. I stacked all the pink ones together, and adhered the black one at a slight offset to create a “shadow”.  Some Wink of Stella glitter is applied over the pink “congrats”.

On an Audrey Blue cardstock banner, I stamped the “You Did It” from the Hero Arts Everyday Sayings stamp set, and embossed it with white embossing powder. The banner was then layered behind the “congrats” die and adhered to the star panel with foam tape.

Finishing up the card, I adhered the panels onto my A6 card base with foam tape, attached the fox, and scattered around some chipboard and rhinestone stars for a bit of interest.

I absolutely love how this turned out! So much fun to create, and the result is very cute! I hope you enjoyed and thanks so much for stopping by! :)
