Speedy Recovery!

Hello everyone! So glad you’ve popped by for another get well card that I am sharing today.

This card features some fun paper piecing that was done using the “Get Well Soon” cut file set by Miss Kate Cuttables. I die cut the little band aid (with the cute little face!!), from some kraft cardstock, kraft polka dot paper and some off-white cardstock using my Silhouette Cameo.

Using some brown and white pens, a pink colored pencil, and some Glossy Accents, I added some extra details to the little guy. I love going the extra step to create some fun features on my die cuts… it adds a lot to the design, and helps finish things off!

The band aid is layered onto a piece of white cardstock, which has the sentiment “speedy recovery wishes” stamped in a rainbow pattern using the Lawn Fawn “Milo’s ABCs” stamp set and pigment ink pads. I staggered the letters a bit on purpose, to create a little bit more of a fun feel to the card.

I then adhered the white cardstock panel to a piece of kraft cardstock cut slightly bigger than the white panel. These two pieces are layered a top my pattern paper-covered card base. A white cardstock scalloped strip and a red ribbon are adhered along the bottom portion of the card as well.

For some final details, I added some faux stitching along the edges of the patterned paper and the white cardstock panel, and adhered a punched purple heart above the band aid. The heart is covered with some Wink of Stella clear glitter and a coating of Glossy Accents is applied overtop.

This card is quick and easy, with a fun and whimsical flair, and I absolutely adore this little band aid cut file! I hope you’ve enjoyed and thanks so much for stopping by!

Happy Creating! :)
